ZOEX LTD, a Scottish company specializing in renewable energy generation solutions, announces a strategic partnership with UMBRAGROUP to accelerate the development of innovative technologies dedicated to producing energy from ocean waves.

Wave energy is one of the most concentrated and promising renewable sources, but it is still underutilized. Oceans cover over 70% of the Earth's surface, and wave motion offers a significantly higher energy density than wind. To address the challenges of complexity and cost, ZOEX has developed a modular Wave Energy Converter (WEC) integrated with an electromechanical generator (PTO, Power Take Off) designed by UMBRAGROUP. This solution allows energy to be produced even with waves as small as 30 cm, overcoming the limitations of traditional technologies that usually require waves of at least 2 meters.

The generator developed by UMBRAGROUP guarantees high efficiency and low inertia, reducing energy losses. Its compact and robust design is ideal for demanding maritime environments, requiring minimal maintenance and offering economic advantages for remote installations. This innovative system not only offers zero emissions, in line with global decarbonization objectives, but also a continuous and reliable supply. Finally, the Power Take-Off ensures plug-and-play modular integration with existing marine infrastructure. This new and important partnership combines UMBRAGROUP's manufacturing and technological expertise with ZOEX's innovative vision, opening new opportunities for energy transition and global sustainability.
