B.S.P. srl was founded in Spello (PG - Italy) in 1994 following an entrepreneurial initiative of Claudio and Lanfranco Becchetti. Since its inception, the company has shown steady growth, supported by strategic managerial decisions focused on the manufacture of high-precision and special rings for bearings, seizing new market opportunities worldwide, and through continuous investment. This development has enabled B.S.P. to expand its technological and professional capabilities, increase the services provided to the customer’s supply chain, increase production volumes and enhance the complexity of its products.

Today, the company boasts nearly 100 employees and has one of the most advanced machine fleets in the industry in Italy tailored and specialized for precision and high value turned parts.

Precision mechanics

B.S.P. is a highly specialized build to print company, focused on the production of complex, high-precision and special rings for bearings, partnering with all leading builders and outfitters operating in the aerospace and industrial sectors.

B.S.P.'s layout consists of 46 state-of-the-art CNC machines, most of which can perform turning, milling and drilling operations.

Thanks to the variety of machines available and the excellent application of the most advanced machining techniques, supported by CAD/CAM software, B.S.P. can ensure great flexibility and efficiency in the production of high-precision components on any batch, from a few units (including prototypes), up to thousands of parts per batch.

In addition, B.S.P. has two metrology rooms for the dimensional control of its products. These rooms are equipped with CMMs, profilometers, roughness gauges and other inspection instruments.

Precision and special rings for bearings (and components)

In the Industrial sector, B.S.P. supplies its Partners with:

precision bearing rings for electro spindles;
axial bearing rings for CNC machines;
bearing rings for high-speed railway applications;
bearing rings for energy application and heavy industry.

In the Aerospace field, B.S.P. also supplies its Partners with rings for bearings and high-precision mechanical components:

bearing rings for gearboxes and motor applications;
components for manual override (anti-ice valve);
components for actuators and icebreakers.

Entry into UMBRAGROUP

On October 04, 2023, UMBRAGROUP took over 51% of B.S.P.'s shares, with the other 49% remaining with CEO Claudio Becchetti.

UMBRAGROUP and B.S.P. have developed a professional relationship for over 20 years. It began with a supply relationship for both the Aerospace and Industrial markets, then strengthened when Claudio Becchetti joined UMBRGROUP’S Board of Directors which firmly consolidated the company's entry into the Group.

The new corporate structure between B.S.P. and UMBRAGROUP enhances the Group's forward trajectory not only through the business relationship but also by increasing its strategic value through the integration of the respective technological competences and commercial synergies on the portfolio of existing customers and on the collaborations in new potential markets.

For the historic Spello-based company, joining the Group ensures operational and strategic continuity in its core business, while consolidating relations with its stakeholders nationally and internationally.
