Umbra Cuscinetti seeks a Machinist I. 

Requirements:

  • High school diploma, GED, or completion of Machinist Vocational Training.
  • 6 months to 1 year experience in machining, preferably in aerospace.
  • Must be able to read engineering drawings.
  • Familiarity with Deburr tools and machinery.
  • Print reading, pen grinding and nylon wheel buffing experience a plus.
  • Must be able to work independently.
  • Ability to inspect parts thoroughly by accurately interpreting blueprints and using precision measuring tool.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively, both written and verbal.
  • Pre-employement drug test and background check required.

4. Quality Assurance Inspector III

Requirements:

  • Associates Degree (AA) or equivalent from a two year college or technical school, or three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • ASQ Certification: Certified Quality Technician (CQT) and/or Certified Mechanical Inspector (CMI), preferred.
  • Experience writing/editing/running Coordinate Measurement Machine (CMM) programs preferred.
  • Experience as a team lead, shift supervisor, mentor or coach is preferred.
  • Ability to use data-collection hardware and software and translate collected data into meaningful results.
  • Must be proficient with word processing, spreadsheet and email software.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, government regulations, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to read, write and communicate routine reports and correspondence before groups of customers or employees of the organization.
  • Ability to draw, analyze and interpret data into graphical representations, such as a bar graph or pie chart, along with the ability to compute rate, ratio and percent.
  • Ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 35 pounds with assistance.

5. Manifacturing Engineer III (Assembly)

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree (B.S.) in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering (or equivalent) from four year college or university plus 5 years of work experience; Master’s Degree (M.S) and at least 3 years of work experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • At least 5 years’ of experience with CAD programs such as Solid Works.
  • Demonstrated aptitude with mechanisms and/or electronics.
  • Previous experience implementing new manufacturing technology.
  • Proven ability to develop assembly planning, bill of material, tooling, and fixtures based on complex assembly and part drawings.
  • Understanding of complex assemblies of machined components.

Requirements:

7. Quality Engineer

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering from an accredited Institution preferred.
  • Minum of 3 years' Quality experience in Manifacturing (aerospace manifacturing) preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of Heat Treat and Liquid Penetrant Inspection (Methods A&C) Nadcap requirement is strongly preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of Quality systems, Quality standards and Material specifications. 
  • Certified Auditor by American Society for Quality (ASQ) and Six Sigma Greenbelt certification preferred.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to effectively interact with customers and internal departments.
  • Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong organization skills.

8. Test Engineer III

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree (B.S.) in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering (or equivalent) from four year college or university plus 5 years of work experience; Master’s Degree (M.S) in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering (or equivalent) and at least 3 years of work experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Direct experience building and programming data acquisition hardware and control system.
  • Knowledge of the use and calibration of mechanical sensors such as load cells, encoders, LVDTs, resolvers, pressure transducers, thermocouples and limit switches.
  • Experience in design, build and/or integration of custom test equipment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite. 
  • Must be knowledgeable in data acquisition systems and test automation tools such as LabView and National Instruments hardware (cRIO, cDAQ).
  • Experience in Mathcad, Matlab/Simulink is a plus.
  • Experience in CAD software such as SolidWorks is a plus.
  • Hydraulics experience is a plus.
  • Project management experience is a plus.
  • Ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 35 pounds.

1. Sales Engineer, Industrial Products

Umbra Cuscinetti, seeks an experienced Sales Engineer to identify new potential customers and applications for the company’s products and services and cultivate relationships with existing customers. Reports to Sales Managers.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Sell company products and services according to established strategic marketing plans, and ensure that sales targets are met.
  • Research viable new business relationships, arrange sales visits, and grow profitable new business with existing clients.
  • Assist in preparation of commercial, technical, and business proposals.
  • Provide support in negotiations, contract development, due diligence and other development or alliance development projects.
  • Attend trade exhibitions, conferences, and meetings.


Required Skills and Education:

  • Bachelor's degree or High school technical degree.
  • German mother tongue, fluent English and Italian (a plus).
  • Strong experience in sales within manufacturing companies (7-10 years).
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical components (electromechanical actuators a plus).
  • Knowledgeable in Windows, Microsoft Suite, and MRP systems for a manufacturing environment.
  • Possess interpersonal, organizational, communication skills.
  • Must have the ability to travel on a frequent basis to client meetings, trade exhibitions, conferences.
